Many of the areas patrolled also include well known Los Angeles landmarks such as the Hollywood Bowl, John Anson Ford Amphitheatre, and the Arboretum.

The Parks Services Bureau manages the Los Angeles County Police Reserve Unit.  The Reserve Unit assist sworn full-time police officers in the execution of their duties.

The Parks Services Bureau also participates in the "Learning for Life" program designed for both boys and girls.  The "Learning for Life" program help youth develop social and life skills, assist in character and career development, and help youth formulate positive personal values. • "I knew from a very young age I wanted to become a Police Officer.  I couldn’t wait to get started, so I became a Police Explorer until I was old enough to apply to become a Los Angeles County Police Officer.  I feel a great sense of satisfaction knowing that I make a difference in people’s lives.  You will too when you join our team.  I’m Officer Pena inviting you to wear the Bear." - Officer Pena
