Facilities Services Bureau
The Facilities Services Bureau provides law enforcement services to client departments such as; the Department of Public Social Services; Department of Children and Family Services; Department of Mental Health; Registrar-Recorder; Treasurer-Tax Collector; District Attorney’s office; Internal Services Department; and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Los Angeles County Police officers conduct/perform:
Vehicle, Bicycle, and Foot Patrols
Monitor Weapon Screenings at over 40 client facilities
Investigate Crimes
Enforce Laws
Arrest and Book Law violators into jail
The Facilities Services Bureau utilizes contract security officers to observe and report suspected criminal activity or suspicious circumstances, and assist County Police at various fixed posts and weapons screening locations throughout the county.
The Headquarters Radio Communications Center (HRC) is staffed with dispatch personnel and a sworn County Police supervisor, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. HRC is under the command of Facilities Services Bureau and is responsible for monitoring fire, burglar and panic alarms for client departments, receiving and dispatching County police and Parole officers to calls for service and/or assistance.
